30s/40s inspired dress. Made of chocolate brown wool crepe, difficult to photograph ;)
It had been a while since I made this model but I came across this small stock of wool crepe.

The main feature are the pockets and the collar.
Actually fake pockets, but very decorative, they remind of leaves, certainly not those of the oak, but I find the pairing with the acorns original. The ribbing is made with a slightly lighter colored thread, it is not very noticeable, but in its small way it worked.

The fake pockets are sewn by hand, and inside the dress I put small squares of reinforcement fabrics.

The skirt has the classic fake bias cut, typical of the era and suitable for fabrics made with low looms.
The upper part has pleats at the waist and at the breast to make it adapt better to the body.

The closure is via 1 side zip and a hook on the back neck.

The belt could not be missing, with a vintage buckle.

The novelty of this year are the real acorns from the red oak.

The acorn cords are removable, I thought it would be useful for washing.
