30s/40s inspired dress. Made of burgundy wool crepe, very soft.
I've wanted to make this dress for years, and I finally found the right mix.

The main feature are the pockets and the collar.
Indeed fake pockets, but very decorative, are reminiscent of leaves, certainly not those of the oak, but I find the coupling with acorns original. The ribs are made with a slightly darker colored thread, you don't notice much, but in its small way it worked.

The fake pockets are hand-sewn, and inside the dress I have placed small squares of reinforcing fabrics.

The skirt has the classic fake bias cut, typical of the time and suitable for fabrics made with low looms.
The top has pleats at the waist and bust to make it fit the body better.

The closure is via 2 zips, one side and one central on the back.
The belt could not be missing, with a buckle combined with the acorns, the latter are a great discovery that belonged to an old haberdashery closed for some time, they are made of wood, painted and finished with a coat of transparent glossy varnish.

The acorn cords are removable, I thought it was useful for washing.
